I’m in the middle of moving my web hosting and I run the risk of this blog having some downtime. I’m not sure what to do about that, I think what I will do is continue to blog somewhere and move the posts back here once it’s up and running on the new server.
I don’t know what the hell is going on though, I’m with the same web hosts, they’ve finally added cPanel, so moving from the old site manager to cPanel (one acct to another) is proving most difficult when it shouldn’t be! But the thing is, it’s not anything I’m doing wrong, there appears to be a problem at their end and each time I load a new website into the new account, it won’t work. And then I go back and forth with their tech support to get it going.
I recently asked for advice on how I could push them through – “give them 4-6 hours and if nothing get in touch with us and we’ll force them!” That’s really not too helpful, this shouldn’t be happening in the first place.
But I need to close my old account and I can’t do that until everything has moved over, so it means that the sites are going to be moved over and this will follow so it’s going to be technically ‘offline’ for a few days (or if I’m lucky, only a few hours).
So bear with me while I get totally frustrated and panic while my most important web lifeline is taken off the air for a spell! And keep your fingers crossed too! :fingers crossed:

Hey,
istead of trying to catch up i’m going to read the recent first and then go backwards. . .so, why is it important to host your own blog, I wonder? As you can see i’m still with blogspot and my technical knowhow is about as clever as my operated on arm. . . .
good luck anyway
Why is it important to host your own blog? It’s not….I just like hosting my own blog, I like that I can have my own domain that makes it easier to share, rather than someone have to remember a sub domain of somewhere like blogspot or wherever. I had my blog with blogspot originally but wanted my own as it gives me more freedom with it.
